HOMELAB · SELF-HOSTING · NETWORKING

Infrastructure Ibuild and operate.

My homelab is where I experiment with infrastructure, networking, security and automation. Most services run as containers on a TrueNAS server, while a separate Raspberry Pi hosts my Home Assistant environment.

DESIGN

How I approach the lab.

01

Self-host where it makes sense

Services are hosted locally when doing so provides a meaningful opportunity to learn about deployment, storage, networking or operations.

02

Keep management private

Administrative services are intended for internal or VPN access rather than unnecessary public exposure.

03

Automate repeatable work

Docker Compose, CI/CD and automated deployments reduce manual work and make infrastructure changes reproducible.
